I can always depend on Moore to ship the parts I need in a timely manner. As to this EMPI torque tool, there is a tiny learning curve. It tool me a minute of staring at it to figure out how to use it to my advantage. As Moore suggests, check out the video. It did leave me wondering why it took me 30 years to buy one.
First of all: Moore was fast and nothing against them, but this EMPI tool could not loosen the gland nut on Porsche 356c motor. There seems to be too much slop/space between the gear centerline and socket centerline…1-2 mm less and it may have worked. Will try on VW type 1 gland and axle nuts. Took off the nut with tried and true breaker bar with extension.
Amazing tool that will avoid you breaking your back when loosening those hub nuts. Good finish, nicely designed.
Tool gives incredible torque. I was able to use a 3/8's drive ratchet.
Trouble is I have a 1-1/2" gland nut on my Scat crankshaft and the tool doesn't work. Only fits VW 36mm gland nut.
No problem I welded a 1-1/2" socket to the opposite side and turned the tool around. Worked perfect.
I could not believe how effortless this tool made flywheel removal on my 1600 type 1 engine. This thing is awesome!

OG dash pads for Ghias are very fragile and almost always unable to be reused or refurbished. Other aftermarket dash pads, some formed in fiberglass, do not fit at all. This dash pad from Moore Parts is formed in dense rubber, very well made - and a surprisingly good fit.
The parts I have got fit perfectly and I’ll purchase more parts g go or here !
